Dasha has 10+ years of experience working with diverse populations in New York City including youth in crisis, juvenile justice-involved youth and their families, adults in alternative to incarceration, and clients navigating an HIV diagnosis. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2013 and has focused on working with children, youth and their families.
Dasha strives to create a warm, safe, culturally sensitive and supportive environment for her clients to process their life experiences and accomplish their personal goals. She believes therapy is a collaborative approach and encourages client input throughout the therapeutic process. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, family/peer relationship issues, ADHD, and LGBTQ+ issues in youth.
Dasha uses various therapy modalities to meet her different client needs including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, traditional psychotherapy and utilizes a family systems approach and relaxation techniques to help clients work towards their highest potential.
A Russian immigrant raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dasha enjoys hiking, knitting, yoga, dancing to fun tunes, and connecting with family and friends.
