A Guide for Denver Health and Denver Health CHP+ Members

Denver Health Medical Plan is not accepting providers, including The Child and Family Therapy Center of Denver, onto its commercial or CHP+ networks.

 

This means, if you transition insurance plans and choose a Denver Health commercial plan or Denver Health CHP+ plan, you cannot use your insurance benefits for therapy at The Child and Family Therapy Center of Denver.

 

As a result, we have prepared the following guide for members who have transitioned to Denver Health.

 

DENVER HEALTH MEDICAID

 

If you or your family member are on a Denver Health Medicaid Choice plan, you may be eligible for covered services at The Child and Family Therapy Center of Denver through Colorado Access. Please call our office at 720-442-2720 or email Client Care Coordinator Pauline Tapia at pauline@childfamilytherapyofdenver.com to inquire. Pauline can check your benefits coverage and determine if your services are covered.

 

DENVER HEALTH CHP+

 

If you or your family member are on a Denver Health CHP+ plan, you must take the following steps to use CHP+ benefits at The Child and Family Therapy Center of Denver:

 

  1. Contact CHP+ Customer Service at 1-800-359-1991 promptly and ask to switch the CHP+ coverage to Colorado Access. This change can only happen within 90 days of a coverage change from their effective date on CHP+. If you are past the first 90 days, you can also change plans during the 60 days before their annual renewal date.
  2. Ask for a 2 Month Single Case Agreement through Denver Health. Please call our office at 720-442-2720 or email Client Care Coordinator Pauline Tapia at pauline@childfamilytherapyofdenver.com to inquire. Pauline can work with you to complete the Single Case Agreement Form and submit it to Denver Health. If approved, Denver Health will allow for two months of care while your CHP+ plan is transitioned to Colorado Access.

 

DENVER HEALTH COMMERCIAL

 

If you or your family member are on a Denver Health commercial plan, you have the following options:

 

  1. You or your family member can be served at The Child and Family Therapy Center of Denver via private pay. Please call our office at 720-442-2720 or email Client Care Coordinator Pauline Tapia at pauline@childfamilytherapyofdenver.com to inquire.
  2. You or your family member can seek support outside of The Child and Family Therapy Center of Denver via a Denver Health in-network provider. You can contact Denver Health to do so at dhmpcc@dhha.org or 303-602-2184. You can also learn more about your coverage at Care Management Programs for Members. Please note that Denver Health has a limited network and is running long waitlists for certain areas of behavioral healthcare. If Denver Health members are having difficulties finding a provider/appointment they can contact Health Plan Services (303-602-2090 or 855-823-8872) for support in being connected to a provider.
